Member of the Intersil Design Team in the UK Intersil are an Analog Design company that specialize in power management solutionsWorked on developing an AC Buck Stability model to match the performance of the transient response of a transistor level circuit. The model was developed using the Cadence Virtuoso tool. The results of the model were compared with both the simulation results of the circuit as well the constructed silicon circuit. The stability of the loop response was then compared with the aid of a loop analysis tool.Additionally the lab work involved with the circuit helped develop an understand lab testing procedure as well as experience soldering and the use of an electronic current load.
