I started working full time at classic plating right out of high school and after a year of work, I began going to school part-time while working. I continued working there while I finished my associates degree. My duties there were: Performed chemical analysis of metal plating solutions and oversaw the production and certification of various plating applications to ISO 9001-2015 standards along with various types of ASME standards. While tutoring at Oakland Community College, OCC, I worked as both supplemental instruction leader, which is a class tutor and involved me preparing material to get the class ready for the material. And also as a private tutor, where I helped students in a wide variety of subjects including: Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. I learned a lot during my time as a tutor and found a lot of joy in helping students understand difficult material. I think that the ability to convey difficult and complex ideas to others in a simple manner is a very valuable skill in the engineering field, where communication is so important. Show less
