During my time as a camp counselor at Young People's Day Camp I was fortunate enough to work under Robert Matthews. Mr. Matthews was one of the most well organized, inventive, and productive managers I have ever had the pleasure of working for, not to say empathatic and caring. Not only was Mr. Matthews easily able to attend to the needs of the campers, counselor, and general staff, he also managed camp finances, camper and counselor schedules, the counselor payroll, camp field trips, and in-camp daily lunches. As a manager Mr. Matthews was easily able to communicate ideas and tasks to his employees, and was always available to offer his expertise to anyone whom needed it.
