This also allowed the implementation of more stringent monitoring and reporting controls. • Recruited staff with appropriate background and training to ensure the successful operation of the 24/7, day to day command center, which included mainframe job scheduling, problem management reporting, disaster recovery planning, facilities management including hardware, electrical and data cabling installation, project management and change control planning. • Successfully migrated production processing to secondary data center prior to impending Gulf Coast weather events, resulting in no lost data or down time. • Negotiated vendor contracts for IT products and services resulting in the timely delivery and installation of quality products at best price scenarios. Assisted in development of the terms of the agreements that met the project timelines. • Monitored transaction based applications on Tandem platform, maintaining 99% up time; monitored mainframes for customers’ daily reports and Fed transmissions, which was critical in moving funds across the various member institutions. • Worked with external customers to resolve issues, escalating to the network, application and/or systems support teams to resolve issues as expeditiously as possible. Documented issues through problem ticket submittals for historical reference. • Prepared and managed $3 million annual budget for data center operations and facilities. • Successfully participated in and completed numerous audits throughout the year, demonstrating formal processes and procedures were in place for activities within the data center.
