Kippen Campbell traces its origins to the foundation of a small practice of "writers and sharebrokers" by John Kippen in 1843. With the assumption of William C Burt in 1921, the firm became known as Kippen, Campbell & Burt WS, which remained its name until 1994, since when it has traded simply as Kippen Campbell. Over the last 180 years, Kippen Campbell has earned a well-deserved reputation for providing a empathetic, professional, quality service to individuals and companies in Perth and across Scotland.I was assumed 100 years after William Burt's assumption, and have responsibility for all things land and property. Little else we do in life is as significant as purchasing our home or our business premises. I enjoy helping people find that home, sell property which may be their most significant asset, transfer property within families, raise finance, or resolve property problems. I also act often for commercial clients in lease transactions, as well as in Purchase and Sale, but I have a special affinity with rural property. My Grandparents farmed on the Black Isle in Easter Ross, I wrote my undergraduate dissertation on Crofting Law, and I have acted for many estate owners, farmers, smallholders and crofters, as well as those buying residential property in rural Scotland, over the last 15 years. One of the most fulfilling aspects of life as a solicitor in a place like Perth is the ability to serve one's community, either professionally, or on a voluntary basis. Professionally, I served on the board of PSPC for 6 years, have served as Conveyancing Convenor of the Society of Procurators and Solicitors in the City and County of Perth for 10 years, and sit on the Law Society of Scotland's Scottish Standard Clauses Working Party. I am proud to have been able to associate myself with the local charity PKAVS as a trustee since 2005, and I spent an interesting 3 years on the Board of Heartland Radio in Pitlochry.
