I was one of the many bartenders and waiters Alex has on her roster for the multitude of parties and events she caters for. I have worked at everything from 21st's and Wedding's to simple garden parties. This job has allowed me many opportunities to learn new skills, as well as how to work efficiently and cohesively within a large team I was one of the many bartenders and waiters Alex has on her roster for the multitude of parties and events she caters for. In the summer of 2021, I undertook Sweet Analytics' introductory Internship Program. The program lasted 4 weeks, followed by 2 weeks of project work. Through this new program, I was given training in a number of valuable business skills, particularly in Excel. As this was the inaugural program, I also gained experience in speaking through all levels of management, having to provide insightful and useful feedback on the program at weekly intervals. During the interim between my studies in Cape Town and the UK, I spent two terms “Gapping”, at Cheam School, a primary and prep school for kids aged 2-13. Being in a role where our daily schedules and responsibilities were always changing, it forced everyone in the GAP team to quickly develop acute organisational and workplace skills, just to successfully navigate day-to-day workings. Moreover, it presented an opportunity to further develop my own management skills, being tasked to take charge and coach my own rugby and cricket teams for boys aged 10-11, making sure to keep my team focussed and working hard, without letting it dissolve into relative chaos.

During the later half of 2017, I became a regular server and bartender at the Award-Winning Wellington Arms pub in Baughurst. I underwent mixology training, and developed my public relation skills. During the later half of 2017, I became a regular server and bartender at the Award-Winning Wellington Arms pub in Baughurst. I worked as a production runner for the acclaimed Kingsdown TV, specialists in live TV and sport coverage. I worked at the ICC Women’s World Cup in the UK in 2017, including the final at Lord’s. This allowed me to broaden my skill set, having to work cohesively and smoothly within such a large team. In an effort to broaden my view of the professional world and to explore different opportunities and possibilities, I spent a week interning at BBH. With offices located in major cities all around the world, I was able to discover the inner workings of a global enterprise, as well as gain insight into the wide variety of positions that make up such a large company. The unique structure to their internship program allowed me to gain insight into many of the different positions at all levels of the company, which also included a day where we took part in an imitation creative session, in which we went through the process of coming up with and creating different ideas for a real-world advertisement campaign.
