Updating air traffic control simulator system software and educating U.S. Navy and Marine Corps air traffic controllers on modifications and scenario updates to the various simulatoProvides expert knowledge and training in the field of Air Traffic Control. Conduct detailed and professional training in regards to the Improved Precision Approach Radar Trainer (IPART) (15g33A). Serves as a liaison for the Tower Simulator System (TSS) (15g34) between the Department of the Navy Facilities and the equipment software engineers/developers. Works with command personnel to identify and correct scenario creativity issues and simulator equipment operating errors to ensure a smooth ATC training simulator integration into the command’s training program. Duties and tasking includes but are not limited to the following: Accident investigation case review, analysis, and training development for ATC related mishaps and incidents. ATC publication review, editing, and submission for approval to various aviation safety and rulemaking agencies. The investigation, research, and development of training on ATC procedures to ensure clarity and understanding. Presentation of approved training can be presented via electronic or verbal means. As a certified Tower (Block II) Instructor in the Air Traffic Control School onboard NATTC Pensacola, provided technical training to over 600 Adult Learners annually on Tower Operations, to include classroom instruction on all tower control positions and simulator training environments utilizing the TOTS trainer. Utilized learning principles and methods for curriculum and training design; provided instruction for individuals and groups. Provided technical/military training, academic/military counseling, general military training, and administrative support for 600 students annually. Reviewed and updated Block II training syllabus in accordance with FAA 7110.65 updates and addendums.
