I was hired to be a part of the Wal Mart Self Check-out Team. Our job as a whole was to oversee the installations of self check-out systems throughout the United States. After a few weeks of being there, my primary job overseeing the permitting process for dozens of site simultaneously to ensure that electrical work could be done. This entailed calling and emailing them every single day, if not multiple times a day, to see if they had made any progress or were running into any issues that we needed to be aware of for the sake of planning other aspects of the project. It was also my job to relay any permitting problems we were having to the higher ups at the company and Wal Mart to prepare for any delays in the event that we would not get a permit in time for the planned install.
