  When I was 16 I contracted out to the Pat Baker Construction company during Christmas break to earn some extra money cleaning up a train derailment down by Langtry, Texas. This also gave me a good opportunity to get a feel for what it would be like to work for someone else other than my father. We collected and bagged salt meant for icy roads, and scrapped wax off the rocks and ground that had once been candles. We picked up debris, and organized materials.
