Responsible for managing, developing, quoting, negotiating and implementing Long Term Support (LTS) for G.E. Intelligent Platforms. This involves health checking the boards, search for Obsolete and L.T.B. (Last Time Buy) components and compiling cost profiles of various obsolescence management options. The customer receives quarterly reports and email LTB notifications.Assist with the Customer stock storage facility; this is a nitrogen gas filled storage facility, where components are stored for future builds or repairs.Manage the company’s obsolescence monitoring tool. This is where B.O.M.’s (Bill of Materials) are lodged for obsolescence monitoring. This service is for paying external customer and the internal design groups. Acted as a consultant on Obsolescence, Obsolescence Management and L.T.S. (Long Term Support) for other G.E. divisions.I also fulfil a component engineering role for any department within the company that requires component expertise.Joined C.O.G. (Components Obsolescence Group) in 1997; C.O.G. is an industry forum of 120 plus Companies with an interest in obsolescence. As the company representative, at C.O.G., I have delivered several presentations at both the quarterly meetings and workshops. Served on the COG Steering Group (COG’s management committee) and Workshop Group (provides industry educational workshops on obsolescence related issues).Also served during COG's transition to IIOM (International Institute of Obsolescence Management)
