      Following the withdrawal of Renault I was installed as Director of the multi franchise dealer in Capetown. The job was to run a huge Motor Complex, reconditioning used cars and preparing new cars for the group as well as a scrapyard which was meant to be a feeder for used car reconditioning. Over time I change the profile from mainly internal work to retail and added businesses like a Training facility for apprentices, Storage Unlimited, Insurance Company Assessment Centre (rented facilities) and adhoc assignments to film companies/concert promoters. The Complex changed from being a non profit making facility to one of the most profitable in the group whilst still giving great standards and pricing for car preparation. Show less

I then had a brief year with Associated Vehicle Assemblers ( AVA - Sub contract arm of Leyland South Africa) as Production Director until Renault pulled out of the country.
