I served as a division contact for issues regarding the NYS Environmental Quality Review Act, worked with statewide planning organizations, conducted agency and public sector training, and assisted staff with cultural resource issues (delegated the DEC's Deputy Agency Preservation Officer). In state service since 1984, government experience also includes environmental impact assessment, state and federal historic preservation compliance, NEPA, cultural resource program management and environmental review and state permitting. Prior to entering state service, served as a practicing archaeologist with academic and private appointments. In addition to the above, I am a volunteer fire fighter with the Defreeestville Fire Department; trained in structural firefighting, wildland fires, urban search and rescue and ICS 100, 200 and 300. Served with NY Regional Response Team (now NYTF2) as a S&R responder to the World Trade Center disaster in September 2001. Show less
