During my resettlement phase prior to leaving the Army, I have undertaken a 3 week plumbing course at Brookhouse Training Centre and have learned to competently work with copper, steel and plastic pipe of various sizing including bending off-sets, crank pass-overs and soldering with end feed and integral solder ring fittings. I have an understanding of various different types of heating systems common in U.K households and have passed the Water Regulations exam.I have also passed the Part L energy efficiency exam and am keen to develop this knowledge further.I am now undertaking a 5 week multi-skilled gas engineer course also at BTC, before going on a work placement to build my portfolio before sitting the ACS assessment.

Successfully completed 6 months training to become a specialized combat infantryman and was awarded for my performance throughout.learned many skills to enable me to be part of an effective force including radio use, field craft, safe weapon handling, navigation and low level tactics. I was able to develop these skills further by using them during many training exercises and operational deployments overseas, where I have often been appointed as "second in command" for my ability to command respect within a fire team of between 4 and 6 men.Whilst on operational deployments in Afghanistan I have been employed as a driver, commander, and crew gunner for a variety of vehicles used by the British army. I have also had the role of radio operator, vallon operator, rifleman, guard team commander and as mentioned above, "second in command".As a Welsh Guardsman, whilst in the UK, I have been part of countless ceremonial duties such as State visits, Guards of honour, protecting Royal residences, Order of the Garter services, Trooping the colour and a Royal wedding. These types of ceremonial duties have earned the foot guards regiments international recognition for their adaptability as soldiers, teamwork, emphasis on precision, attention to detail, robustness and discipline.
