Robert is an excellent collaborator and a gifted developer. It was always a pleasure to work with him, even when he and I had extremely challenging projects with very unclear customer expectations. He was consistently able to craft reliable and creative approaches to solve the problems at hand.
Shawn Schollmeyer
I worked with Robert on our digital asset management system as our database expert. He did a terrifc job of explaining technical issues to non-technical users and his customer service support was excellent. His level of knowledge proactively kept systems running and provided awareness and solutions for potential problems before they occurred.

Centralized Oracle system is used as a central repository for publishing to other tools such as the cardiac evaluation tool as well as management reporting. • Liaison between Healthcare IT and the Meaningful Use committee, responsible for communicating requirements back to HIT and documenting within our document repository. The purpose of this was to develop the framework for implementation for Providence's participation in the Boeing Accountable Care Organization.

Software Development Engineer
-
Jun 2009 - Sep 2014
As a Software Development Engineer, I was tasked with performing software engineering and technical guidance functions for Microsoft Search Advertising, while also serving as a traditional DevOps specialist and program manager. Significant accomplishments include: • Accelerated the replication process of the MOLAP cube to the remote data center by 800% by introducing a much faster and more efficient replication technique. • Improved the ability of sales, marketing, management, and finance teams to better understand the Search Advertising business, as well as prepare regulatory reports by creating a large multi-terabyte MOLAP cube, which was hosted on SSAS in the US, and had back-ups in both EMEA and APAC data centers. • Formulated a customer life cycle system based on SQL, which replaced a legacy system that offered limited insights into customer engagement, and proved challenging to maintain because of coding style.

Responsible for the integration of numerous data systems within Microsoft's interactive production facilities. The purpose of which was to reduce the amount of paperwork required to produce videos and interactive games as well as increase the amount of content that was available for reuse. • Project-managed acquisition and integration of the Bulldog (now part of Documentum) digital asset management (DAM) system. This was used within the production and postproduction facilities. This allowed us to find and reuse assets that would normally be recreated. Worked with the Bulldog team to migrate their solution from Oracle to SQL Server by doing the initial port of Oracle to SQL for them and then providing them the code base back integration back into their main branch. • Implemented a facility scheduling system from Gentech (now part of Xytech) for scheduling postproduction facilities. Built an ASP web application on top of this system allowing the production facility to see their work and reconcile it from their workstations rather than manage work through paperwork orders. • Designed a digital library system to manage all the tapes produced by the production facility. Managed the team that built the system. We built the system using SQL and C++. This system integrated with both our DAM system and the scheduling system so users could check out tapes directly from the scheduling system allowing the librarians to have them ready for them and they could find the digital representation in the DAM system and have them downloaded from the server. • Designed a facility ticketing system and managed the team that serviced the tickets. Allowing anyone to submit a ticket for an issue happening within our facility. These went into a workflow queue were assigned, worked on, and resolved. We used SQL, ASP, and SMTP for our implementation.

Teamed with others responsible for all aspects of the 777 flight-control wiring. This was Boeing’s first fly-by wire airplane and most of the engineering was a revolution rather than an evolution of past Boeing designs. Responsible for risk assessment of flight control wiring designs in the 777 airplane that met safety criteria for certification. Responsible for working with other team members to ensure that wires could both be manufactured, installed, and maintained for the life of the aircraft. Responsible for design and testing of the primary flight-computers pre-flight check software. This software detects any anomalies with wiring or surface control actuators prior to flight.
