This is my family's optical shop. It is only my mother, administrator and I who work in this store. We perform optometry checkups, write prescriptions and offer medical devices to people in need such as magnifying lens, prescription eyewear and sunglasses. During my time here I am in charge of three departments: front-desk/customer service, IT/maintenance, communications/establishing relationships with existing/new suppliers and assembly workshop technicians in charge of eyewear assembly. -While working in front-desk communications skills are extremally important in order to better understand the wants and needs of my clients. I performed eye exams using our state of the art medical equipment, wrote prescriptions and helped my clients select the proper components to fit their medical needs. -In the IT department, I manage everything IT related in the store such as, building and managing the website, managing our online sales on other platforms, creating marketing material, maintaining our equipment, planning and setting up our surveillance system and other electrical or electronic devices. -In the communications department, I am constantly in touch with our assembly workshop collaborators, with our eyewear suppliers and always looking for new opportunities of establishing relations. Because our business is so small, the workload is bigger than normal but it also allows me to grow faster in many ways. Show less

In my time working at Autoliv I was entrusted with the task of researching, documenting, designing and prototyping testing devices that help to improve the design and safety of the seat belt retractor mechanism. I have also attended multiple courses including Injection of plastic, Study of materials, Stress distribution in different components of the seat belt retractor and learnt to assemble and disassemble manually the retractor mechanism. This was my first experience working with engineers and technicians in the automotive safety industry. Show less
