Robert and I were fellow graduate students at UNC Charlotte College of Architecture. He was always a solid teammate in group work, displayed a clear understanding of the design process and had a better grasp on construction and detailing then many of his peers in the program. He has always been a tinkerer, and I have seen him conceive of some really creative constructions at a variety of scales.

Len Witke,

Robert was an extremely effective project manager who assisted us with the development of a LEED certified science addtion to an historic high school. Making the new wing comply with USGBC requirements while designing the facility to address the tomorrow's teaching needs and technology while adding to the visual sense of place for this urban campus was managed very effectively by Robert. He was a pleasure to work with and someone that I would strongly recommend to other owners for consideration on their next buiding project.

MBAJ gave me the freedom and duty as Project Architect to be involved from project inception to post-occupancy evaluations. Our team guided clients through schematic design, managed production of construction drawings and specifications and performed construction administration for projects including: Public elementary school: 30,000sf classroom addition, extensive renovations, total site renovation. Public high school: 50,000sf, four story biotech addition (LEED for Schools, Certified), renovations to existing vocational building (LEED CI, Silver). As the CAD Manager for the Charlotte branch of the firm, I worked closely with the Technology Director and the Information Systems Manager to develop, create, maintain and implement a more efficient system of CAD standards. As CAD Manager I offered technical assistance within the office on a daily basis concerning Autocad, SketchUp and Photoshop, as well as drawing conventions and construction document organization. Other duties included the following: Managed multiple projects concurrently in various phases of production; Trained four new employees; Designed a data filing system for more efficient access to information; Designed and implemented a system of company CAD standards; Acquainted the firm with imaging software which I used to create concept and marketing renderings of building exteriors, interiors, floor plans and site plans.
