I was responsible for one of three rotating departments. Cheese, Alcohol, and Juice bar. I was responsible for knowing a great deal about each section and offering in-depth knowledge. As a car salesman I was responsible for interpreting the prospective customers needs and providing a vehicle that best met those needs as a solution. I was also groomed in the finance department which allowed me to look at the entire process as a "whole concept". In being able to view the process this way I was able to balance out each step to ensure a smooth buying process with no remorse. I was asked to take over the dealerships computer system the final 7 months of employment to try to resolve some long standing issues that were affecting the pace of business. My duties involved basic things such as replacing and setting up new computers to update the capabilities of the network to adjusting network settings to accommodate remote printing and admin initiated protection. As a "PFT" I was responsible for new store technical set up. Our team of 10 people was comprised of 8 product specialists and 2 Functionality technicians that would build new stores and open them, then hand them over to the store crew to operate. I did everything from building the communications tower in the utility room to pointing the store dish for satellite signal to broadcast to even setting up the high-end Magnolia Home Audio Video rooms. I was also in charge of training the store employees on proper use of general to advanced electronics operation. This position was a very big responsibility and my team was regularly selected because of our efficiency and attention to detail. Show less
