Language agnostic programmer working in an Agile environment to create custom software built to solve end user and business problems within the client's budget capacity. Utilizing practices such as pair programming and test driven development to help build the team's value and productivity. Responsible not only for the technical aspects of projects, but also having a firm understanding of the client's business process, budgetary concerns, and inner-political constraints. Projects included, but not limited to: FDA cleared medical devices, financial systems, logistics, and inventory management. Below are some of the projects I participated in at Menlo Innovations. Project code names are used to respect client's intellectual property. Wilmut/Ovis - User interface for a Flow Cytometer used in both a clinical and research capacity. Worked with the client through FDA clearance. The device was used in research and diagnosis of cancer, AIDS, and other conditions. Drake/Mallard/Starbird - A series of projects with one of the largest hardware retailers in the world to incrementally move their financial system from an aging FoxPro mainframe to modern cloud and on-premise systems. Matlock - A software suite for a large furniture retailer to manage and track damaged inventory which included an iOS application for warehouse employees to log damage and a web portal for management and the client's vendors to view data around damages and invoice charge backs.

    • Virtual Services Programmer
      • Apr 2011 - Jan 2013

Instrumental in the formation of a new department, known as the Virtual Services Group. Developed departmental budget, and created a virtual services product line. Additionally, I was instrumental in programming many of the software products and services. The key functions of this group include:Development of new 3D working models of Dürr’s automation product lines.Utilized Fanuc’s “Robo-Guide” robotic simulation software and began simulating all of Dürr’s robotic cells, as well as providing it as a service to other companies. The design intent of the simulations is to reduce project costs by detecting errors in the mechanical and controls engineering concepts of the automation cells. Robotic Simulation is a keystone product for the Virtual Services Group.Provided support to the sales department with technical expertise as well as hands on 3D modeling experiences with customers. Designed and Implemented software to manage capacity planning for all of Dürr Ecoclean’s assembly facilities. It is built on top of the already familiar Demo 3D software and features full 1:1 scale 3D models of each facility. The software is used as a full production modeling system for all assembly production plans. Through the implementation of this capacity planning system, all incoming manufacturing cells can be tracked through each process, and as well as track labor man hours, estimated cost at completion, required floor space, customer data, and SAP job number.
