  Reviewed scientific reports as part of an effort to identify possible sources of groundwater contamination near ECS Case’s Grants Pass, Oregon manufacturing facility. Following a multi-year investigation, the Environmental Protection Agency determined ECS Case was not responsible. Looked into advanced materials for the company’s protective containers, such as nanotube-alloyed aluminum, nanotech steel, radiation-blocking fabric and thermoelectric cooling devices.

  Group leader of a distribution, metabolism, pharmakokinetic (DMPK) and bioanalytical sciences team focused on drug discovery through the identification, characterization and quantification of small molecules, metabolites, peptides and proteins from biological sources. The group’s efforts focused on the development of mass spectrometry-based analytical methods to quantify small molecules in plasma and other biological sources, drug metabolite identification and structural characterization, drug stability, chiral purification of enantiomers from racemic mixtures, and mechanism of action chemiproteomics studies.
