    • Production Manager
      • Jan 2015 - Jan 2016

Responsible for 20 blue collar workers and 2 White collar. I report directly to the board of directors. Main tasks : - Planning - Maintenance - Training of new coworkers - Job preparation - Machine setup and technology - Production Follow up and reporting When I arrived at Dejond, there was no maintenance plan, no knowledge of the technology at the company. The technology was known by the blue collar workers and not by the company. Due to this the blue collar workers where very strong and used there knowledge against the company. There was also no job preparation what causes a lot of problems at the machines. A blue collar planning did not exist. At this time I set-up: - A maintenance plan o Daily o Monthly o 3 months period o 6 months period - A plan to secure the technology and the knowledge to make these specialized products in order that the future is secured. - Structured the job preparation area so that it is more clear which tools are in stock and which ones are needed in the future. - Structured the training for new coworkers. - Structured blue collar planning. - Set-up workgroup for better communication between the people at the machines and the job preparation. Production:Head of Job Preparation in Belgium. i lead a team of 2 people who are developing the CNC programs for our cutting machines and who prepare the production documents in this way that everything is perfectly clear for our operators at the machines.Business Information:Part of the Management Committee from our site in Belgium.Making Analyses from the data we collect out of our production. From this data we can do follow-up per team and per machine group. This also includes an after-calculation on each production order. In this way we can react very fast to the work-floor and also get a clear and fast feed-back from them. These analyses i report back to the main Management for future strategy.Calculation:when offers comes in, i calculate these offers and prepare everything for sales department and make the basic preparation for production for when this offer becomes an order. • Operation support & Datacollection
      • Jun 2008 - Jun 2011

Within this job i was able to study the production of lasercutting and bending of very big profiles. I support the administration of our production and in parallel i wrote the roadbook of the data collection system we wanted. We wanted that this system was a very big step forward in automation the production and to simplify the work for the blue collars. This system had to be a tool to help the blue collars and also to give the management a clear and quick view of the production and this with only one push on the button. At the end we where able to:-Visualize the production drawings on a tablet pc at the machine.-Start up the wright CNC program at the wright machine and for the wright product.-Let the blue collar fill in the quality protocol for the customer and if needed send this straight to the customer.-Automatically update the stock and WIP.-When a product is ready, this is directly visible in our ERP System.-Qualtiy department has an overview of everything that is made into production also all Quality protocols that are filled in by the blue collars are visible for the quality departement to do random checks.-Be able to put a CNC program into the database and adjust it if needed.-Be able to do a after calculation that is 100% completely correct. All these points where done in the past manually with pen and paper. For a metal processing company this was a major step forward and a innovative project.
