Bio
Stacey Champion
I have had the pleasure of knowing and working with Robbie for quite some time. We worked together on several projects when I owned my own PR firm, and on a daily basis now with the Phoenix Strategies 360 team. Robbie is one of the best communicators I know. His writing skills are extraordinary, he stays calm and collected when dealing with crisis communication needs and he's one of the wittiest guys around. He is the kind of person who "walks his talk" and I have a great deal of respect for him- both personally and professionally (which I wish I could say for more people...)!

Robbie brought his extensive knowledge of the state and a well-honed set of strategy, media relations, writing and public policy skills to S360 and its clients in Arizona and throughout the West. Formerly a political reporter as well as a former senior advisor to U.S. Rep. Harry E. Mitchell, Robbie also ran his own successful consulting firm. Most recently, he served as press secretary for Greg Stanton’s winning campaign for Mayor of Phoenix, as well as on Stanton’s transition team. As a journalist, Robbie produced award-winning stories on Arizona’s school funding inequities, tribal gaming, high school football, public safety and political analysis. He was also a regular pundit on the long-running PBS public affairs show “Horizon.” He also co-taught a special reporting project at ASU’s Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communications that explored the impact of U.S. immigration policy on families and children. The widely published multi-media project, “Divided Families,” won the international Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award for 2009. An Arizona native who grew up in a rural ranching family, Robbie lives in Mesa with his wife, Joan, their two sons, Ian and Ryan, and an overweight rescue cat named Alicia. His hobbies include basketball and arguing about basketball. Robbie earned a journalism degree from Arizona State University and a Master of Liberal Studies degree from ASU in creative non-fiction writing.
