I have known Robbie since his days at the Dixons group and all the way through to NuConnect and Harrods. With no disrespect to Robbie's colleagues in the buying fraternity, it is quite rare to find someone in his position who combines passion, detail, efficiency, humility, understanding, integrity, sheer hard work and still manages to treat we sales people with respect and as human beings. Robbie does what he says and expects you to do the same. Let him down - you don't by the way as you have too much respect for the man - and he lets you know gently but firmly. If you look after him he will look after you and he will go the extra mile without being asked. I have rarely seen Robbie get annoyed and that despite the pressures he has had in his high profile roles. If you want a senior buyer or retailing expert who can build positive and strong relationships, who thoroughly understands how to optimise retail space, who can make intelligent decisions, knows winning products from also rans and who can get the job done under enormous pressure, Robbie is the guy to call. I wish him well in his career and hope our paths cross again soon. Like a fine South African wine, highly recommended !!
