Rob was the essence of a great CTO at Motorola: always challenging the status quo, always asking us: "what is the right question, guys?" versus "what is the right answer?". Much of Motorola's leadership in 4G and advanced radio technologies would be correctly attributed to Rob's vision and leadership. He was fun to work for and I, for one, certainly miss his dry British sense of humor!
