Rob is the essence of wonderful eclecticism. He is able to retain ideas and information from numerous sources and disciplines and apply them appropriately in a variety of situations. He is a passionate continuous learner. But, most importantly he has great compassion. He brings all of these qualities to his coaching. And, as a result, he is able to bring out the best in young athletes.

Inside the Zone Sports Performance group is focused on helping athlete of all ages and sports uncover their unique talents and skills. We help athletes discover their mental edge, and reach beyond self imposed limitations. This edge is often the difference between winning, losing and reaching the next goal. At Inside the Zone, I help clients explore, become aware, and work through performance issues in a non-threatening, non-judgmental and safe way. This approach facilitates and encourages the athlete to embrace self choice, responsibility and change—all keys to winning and high performance. An expert in understanding and applying creative and personal mental toughness techniques with performers, I help clients blend their mental and physical abilities and perform at their highest potential. With me on their team, clients: • Learn to play a more relaxed and confident manner • Develop the ability to cope in high pressure situations • Improve their concentration and focus • Bring the fun back to competition • Break through self imposed barriers Show less

Tennis Inside the Zone Unleashing your “MORE” on the court: What if you could let go, stay focused, and just breathe through your shots? This ground-breaking workshop focuses on the mental game of tennis and teaches a unique inside-out approach to unleashing your “more” both on & off the court. Rob’s “More than an Athlete” model recognizes the importance of bringing the individual whole person to competition, not just the athlete. His non-judgmental & allowing approach helps athletes understand their unique person, process and performance and play the game from a place of effortlessness and balance. Show less

Head Coach for both Oratory Preparatory High School Boys Tennis and Summit High School Girls Tennis teams. During this time, Summit won the State Sectional Championships and also won the Individual Singles State Championship. Oratory Preps record improved each year culminating with entry into the State Sectional Tournament. Both teams were known for one little known fact...In addition to the individual match handshakes, our teams lined up in victory or loss and congratulated the other players and coach entirely – a sportsmanship practice that is done in team sports. However, this practice is not done in tennis, but should be implemented. Show less

Worked with founder Jena Marcovicci helping him to conduct and run inner city workshops in the Northeast. Jena, was a mentor who revitalized my joyful tennis. He taught me many things, however, i will always remember: Your opponent is your partner. Worked with founder Jena Marcovicci helping him to conduct and run inner city workshops in the Northeast. Started as an account manager after my time at Macy’s and was responsible for a select group of department stores (Mercantile, Hects) and was awarded sales person of the year in the woman’s division during that time. Soon promoted to oversee other account executives and additional stores including Federated Department stores. Started in Macy’s executive training program and was promoted though the ranks as a sales manager, assistant buyer, merchandise manager and then buyer for womans sportswear, comforters and furs. I learned all about how to create, manage and promote a product during this time. I always loved the human development part of the business, recognizing the individual skills and value of all employees and supervisors.
