  To give students of the faculties of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Industrial Engineering and Management a broader view of their potential I invite weekly a company that takes care of a presentation about their activities and opportunities for internships, thesis projects or jobs.Additionally each year an interview training is organized in cooperation with the business community so that the students will be informed of all developments in this area.Recently, there has been added a series of networking events to intensify the contacts with the companies. Topics as study content, mutual expectations, competencies and skills. are discussed.I find it fascinating to have contact with students and to see and hear where they need an addition to the field of competences and skills.   Besides courses such as Mathematics, Dynamics, Linkage Mechanisms and Feedback Control Systems I organize activities such as the project Shell Ecomarathon. We build with students cars that take part in the latest efficiency contest the Shell Ecomarathon. We design these cars in cooperation with the Academy of Arts Maastricht and The Design Academy Eindhoven. This project is embedded in education. Sponsorships gives me opportunities to contacts with companies. In this way, long-lasting relationships.Furtermore I set up the minor Mechatronics and have been coordinator for three years. and I have coordinated:- the evening course Mathematics for potentional students (3 years).- The theme The Combustion Engine (3 years.I like to talk to people and hear what keeps them busy. This brings me to new and refreshing thoughts and ideas. Show less
