Head of Public Sector and Head of ODAs lead for Traverse's work with the public sector (excluding health), I work with colleagues across the business to make sure all our services - research and evaluation, engagement, consultation, organisational development and social investment - can provide local and central government clients with the support they want. I remain closely involved with project delivery, overseeing work for organisations across the sector and across our service areas, whilst specialising in engagement and OD. Recent work includes directing deliberative engagement on the climate crisis for two London boroughs, directing a 2-year evaluation of a County Lines Pathfinder in the East of England, and directing engagement programmes to connect citizens and councils in shaping visions for their local areas.

As an fellow at OPM, I am a project manager and facilitator working on the design and delivery of a range of evaluations, research and organisational development projects across public services, including in local and central government, health and social care, education and children’s services, and within wider cross-sector partnership systems.. Since authoring OPM’s report on ‘Unlocking Local Capacity’ in 2012 I have led the associated work stream supporting councils and their partners to tap into the skills, ideas and energy in their communities to improve local outcomes.
