I had the privilege of working for Rob Caffey during my tenure as an Associate Director of Custom Development at KU. Rob was an excellent director and mentor, and was very current and knowledgeable on the latest trends in the software industry. Rob pushed our groups to learn and adopt DevOps trends, and helped us adopt agile methodologies. Some of my favorite moments with Rob included brainstorming ways to solve difficult technical challenges. Under his guidance and leadership we swiftly developed and deployed systems to handle the scheduling of Covid-19 testing and vaccine distribution, much to the envy of our peers in the county and state. We accomplished this and many more projects on a shoestring budget. In short, I highly recommend Rob for any technical position, and especially for technical leadership positions. By following his council and strategic planning, I have no doubt that he can propel any institution or company forward during the age of digital transformation.
