Rob hired me into Barclays Capital in 2008 allowing me to enter the investment banking industry (from telecoms) and supported me fully as I adapted to the new environment. Senior Project Manager for a number of new key Risk applications. Successfully delivered on time a new Global Single Name Limit Framework across Nomura Credit Risk in a very tight timescales to meet a committed Regulatory timeline. Rolled out to 150+ users. Successfully delivered a new Market Risk Limits Management application, from BRD to release in very short timescales and limited resources under the BCBS239 programme. Released to 100+ users in Sept 2015. For the above projects I managed all aspects of the project including design review, workload for the c# and java developers (in UK and India), SIT and UAT testing, rollout planning, communication to IT and Business management and to the business users (many at MD level). Became Team Lead on becoming permanent and then, 1 month later, Project Manager of the Real Time Credit Checking Engine for Pre-Deal checking of derivative trades providing millisecond response times to BARX-FX. Promoted to VP the following year. Lead the system through a period of 2000% volume increase a major revision of the underlying methodology and the addition of exotic FX Options.
