Queer Safe Spaces is a nonprofit organization that aims to educate, empower, and support the Filipino queer people. In a span of three years, this community has become an online safe space for over 16,800 queer people and allies, especially during the pandemic, when many were stuck in unsafe domestic spaces. I am proud to have achieved the following milestones in my work with Queer Safe Spaces:• Invited as the Resource Speaker for several international speaking engagements, such as the Plenary Session on Promoting Inclusivity and Diversity during the 2021 International Assembly of the Youth for UNESCO (Y4U), Feminist Organizing for Gender Equality and Justice in the New Generation during the 2022 Pride celebration of Humanist Alliance Philippines, International (HAPI), among others.• Selected as the Filipino representative for the LGBTQIA+ community in Meta's APAC Community Day 2022 in Singapore, where community leaders across APAC gathered to network and share best practices.• Chosen as a Top 1% finalist out of 14,000+ global applications for the Facebook Community Accelerator Program (2021) and recognized as a Top 5 Facebook Community Leader in APAC (2022).
