Ryan and I both worked with a services firm for about two years; I was a consultant to the firm, Ryan was a junior partner. He made the best of an impossible situation in which the senior partner's views had to be considered as writ in stone by a burning bush. I had a much easier time, free to challenge the Giver of Law, something I did frequently in private. I watched Ryan interact well and professionally with multiple customers, creating value wherever he touched. I believe Ryan's understanding of customer needs versus customer wants was superb, and his ability to work with customers toward a solution was on a full professional level.
