For 129 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco (BGCSF) has provided high-quality, community-based services to at-risk youth in San Francisco. Founded on Harrison Street in SOMA in 1891, BGCSF is the first Boys & Girls Club on the west coast and holds the unique distinction of being two of the 53 founding members of Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Today, BGCSF operates eight Clubhouses, a 2,000-acre residential Camp in Mendocino County, two school-based programs located at San Francisco Community School, Gateway High School, Gateway Middle School, and George Washington Carver Elementary School, and serves as the master tenant of Boeddeker Park in the Tenderloin (BGCSF is also the fiscal agent for four other nonprofit organizations). Our sites are located in neighborhoods with the fewest resources and where kids need us the most. Our MissionTo inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens.

Jun 2003 - Sep 2004
Prior to serving as Chief Operating Officer, from 2001-2003 I served as Vice President of Administration overseeing Finance, Human Resources, Camp Mendocino, the Club's Endowment Trust, and its main offices. I also served as Executive Director of the San Francisco Boys & Girls Club for one year prior to a 2001 merger that brought together two smaller Boys & Girls Clubs to create today's Boys & Girls Clubs of San Francisco.
