      As safety director I am responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the business and its employees, enforcing strict safety standards, and facilitating safety programs to avoid potential hazards within and outside of the office. I am also responsible for developing, implementing, and managing health and safety policies and procedures in the workplace. Some duties include performing safety audits, conducting safety training sessions, and creating initiatives to reduce and prevent accidents on and off site. Other duties include inspecting the building's and yards to identify and address hazards. This includes vehicles, equipment, site security over the entire premises. I create and manage incident reports and meet with management to discuss implementation and adjustments to policies as needed.Some of My Responsibilities Include• Developing and implementing workplace safety policies and procedures in accordance with OSHA standards.• Providing personnel with safety-related information such as training sessions, emergency protocols, and proper use of safety equipment.• Reviewing existing policies and procedures to ensure they are up to date.• Performing safety audits and physically inspecting all work areas to identify possible safety issues.• Conducting risk assessments to minimize workplace accidents, occupational illnesses or long-term health hazards.• Collaborating with management to plan and implement a safety protocol budget.• Manage institutional compliance with OSHA and other regulatory authorities.• Conduct routine health, safety and environmental inspections in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910, EPA and NFPA standards.• Coordinate quarterly custodial safety training sessions• Maintain all recordkeeping requirements including training and compliance records and examine trends to reduce future incidents.
