JCR Treasurer

1. Public trustee of the College and assigned numerous responsibilities, including managing the 2022-23 budget, approving/denying funding for 60+ societies, making use of reserves and reimbursing the student body for any expenses undertaken in the name of the JCR 2. Introduced the yearly JCR Undergraduate Fund, allowing a survey-based system for students to vote on the most popular idea/project to use JCR funding on. The first iteration of this received nearly 300 votes, more than 60% of Girton undergraduates 3. Authored and presented 5 papers to College Council, the governing body, to bring positive change to the College — including papers which proposed directing reserve funding to underfunded and relatively new charities and business plans for the College’s annual Ball 4. Reformed the JCR Accounts, transforming them into digestible and readable spreadsheets that were easily understood by the governing body and the student population at large 5. Also made Treasurer of the 2023 Girton Spring Ball, which entailed being one of the 3 members of the executive body of the Ball, requiring months of planning and coordination 6. Freshers Week Treasurer

1. Elected as of the 4 executive members on Committee, managed a team of 13 to coordinate nearly 65 activities for the 2022 Freshers’ Week 2. Managed the finances and budget for the Committee, allocating and approving requests by 5 departments for money out of the total budget. 3. Liased with the College’s Bursary Clerk, Finance Office and Assistant Bursar to maintain accurate records and ensure approval was granted efficiently and quickly 4. 1. Created an educational tutoring company during my gap year in 2021 focussed on research-intensive projects and tutoring for the publication process 2. Contracted with over 10 career counsellors and research specialists, who aided us as independent contractors in the form of referrals and subject-specific specialist aid. Also worked 60+ projects with students desiring publication in a range of subjects, from high-level mathematics to agricultural development 3. Core Team Lead

1. Initially interned, then was promoted to the core team for Teamwork Arts Pvt Ltd’s project “Be Inspired”. The project centred around highlighting the top innovations in over 30 fields across 50 regions in India, to be presented at the Jaipur Literature Festival. 2. Liaised with the core team to green light coverage of 20 innovations in technology, medicine, governance and climate change, to be presented first in the form of a presentation at JLF, then as a television documentary. 3. 1. Interned under Ashish Kumar, the former Additional Advocate General of Rajasthan for a 4-week period at Jurisperitus Lex LLP 2. Researched on the basics of Constitutional Law and Contract Law, providing case summaries and key insights from case studies given by my supervisor. 3. Shadowed Mr. Kumar for a brief period, understanding the nature of commercial legal work in India and elementary courtroom proceedings 1. Senior Student Council

1. Elected as the Head of Activities, and a member of the Senior Student Council, from November 2018-20192. Worked with a committee of 20+ students, attending regular committee meetings, working with the school’s administrative bodies, and planning the event’s calendar for the year 3. Supervised two secretaries of events (my former position), both in the penultimate year of school. Worked with them to create a backup events calendar and plan, conduct, organise and supervise over 50 events in the academic year. 4.
