As the ever reliable and highly capable Cryogenic Insulator, I am responsible for reviewing condition of the permit, ensuring work is only carried out equipment tagged to be worked on, permit is signed on by Area Authority and conditions on HIRA completed. Whilst monitoring the worksite, facilitating an interactive Toolbox talk and conducting Site Risk Assessment, I oversee safe execution of assigned work. I assist in removing and installing insulation rock wool, cryogel and pyrogel on straight pipelines, elbows, tees, reducers and flanges vessel. I set up blast and paint work front, assist with building enclosure humpy and surface preparation as well as hand and power tools cleaning. Whilst wrapping band and high impact shield and outer glass shield on field joints, I apply STOPAQ systems on straight pipelines, elbows, tees, reducers and flanges. I apply humidor on straight pipelines, elbows, tees, reducers and flanges. Finally, I assist sheet metal work by installing removing cladding pipes section bend, trunnion, valve flange boxes and vessel. Key Achievements: • Utilised extensive experience as QA/QC Insulation & Fireproofing Inspector and recently, successfully achieved career upskill to Certifier Coating Inspector – now possessing three certifications including Coating, Insulation and Fireproofing. Performed approximately 200 current hours and successfully achieved Rope Access Technician Level 1.

During my short stint with Caledonia as an experienced Lagger, I expertly removed insulation rockwool and installed insulating materials, such as felt, fibreglass, polyurethane and cork, to pipes, steam generators, process vats and ducting. I secured insulation with wire, wire netting, staples, metal strapping and used welding torches. Whilst working as trade assistant for sheet metal work installation, removing cladding pipes, section bend, trunnion, valve flange boxes and vessel, I performed various other allied duties as instructed by the supervisor.

Working for Cape Australia as the adept QA/QC Insulation Inspector, I was responsible for effectively carrying out field requests to witness inspection, verifying that all scopes of work were being performed as per site specifications. I inspected, tested and sampled materials for defects and deviations from specifications. To capture non-conforming areas prior to inspection, I conducted surveillance activities and prepared reports. I reviewed work releases from client and prepared relevant documents such as Isometrics, spool drawings and Navis works model shots. Whilst monitoring progress activities until work was completed and following up on FTR issues with client and CAPE supervision until resolved, I prepared surveys to determine scope of work required for carry over NCR works on vendor supplied equipment. I reviewed and progressed ITR, ISO and ITP documents as well as prepared all work pack documents and close out for submittal to client. Finally, I discussed inspection results with those responsible and recommended necessary corrective actions.

Starting my professional career as an eager and capable lagger/cryogenic insulator for Hertel Modern, I was responsible for the installation of cryogenic insulation in support of the Gordon LNG Projects. I removed and installed insulation and handled cryogenic insulation, hot pipelines, vessel, bend, con and tee (foam glass, PIR, Rockwood, Cryogel, Amaflex). I also served as trade assistant for sheet metal work and for installing /removing cladding pipes section, bend, trunnion, valve flange boxes and vessel. Whilst working at heights, I maintained a high standard of workmanship at all times. I mentored and supported apprentices and journeyperson insulators lacking cryogenic experience.
