I was an intern at Christopher and Banks in the knits department. I learned the daily tasks of an assistant buyer. In my internship I was performing various daily tasks that expanded my knowledge in this role. My tasks included: pulling mid-week selling reports, analyzing the data, sending out recaps to my team of the conclusions based off of research, communicating to vendors the sell-through findings from mid-week reports, tracking samples, pulling reports on past due's, pulling performance lifecycle management reports, mailing samples back to vendors, and assisting in meetings with best and worst selling product. I have been exposed to other areas in the company through job shadowing and working with those on my team. The other areas I was exposed to are: HR, Tech Design, Product Development, and Planning/Allocation. The internship was a wealth of knowledge and I look forward to learning more throughout my career.
