Rita Estanqueiro is one of the best Human resources person I have worked with. Rita joined the H R dep’t at the Lisbon Marriott as a student. As the General Manger of this largest Hotel in Portugal, Rita took immediate control of many associate related activities. I found Rita to be passionate towards associate programs to enhance associate moral including training, welfare & most of all caring for them. She was part of the team that introduced new Associate recognition programs on ongoing basis. she constantly followed up with her responsibilities & more. The Hotel Associates found her approachable as she genuinely took interest in resolveing their issues. Where ever the procedures & training practices were not in line with the desired end results, Rita updated these to generate better end results. Due to her commitment & dedication to her profession, Rita became a fulltime associate & took over additional responsibilities. Lisbon Marriott is a strong Union Hotel. She took this challenge in pride & worked closely with both the union members & the management team. In my daily interaction with her, I found her to be loyal & task oriented. She thoroughly enjoyed her responsibilities & the people she worked with. Due to this & many other fine practices she was promoted & transferred as head of H R dep’t when Marriott took over management of RHI Vila Sol Hotel & Resort in Algarve. I would not hesitate to rehire Rita as she is a an asset wherever she is working.
