Rissa was hired as Care Coordinator with EverHome Healthcare and was promoted to Supervisor of Direct Care Services within her first 90 days of employment. I was one of her direct managers during my tenure. Rissa joined the Care Coordination Program when it lacked structure, standardized processes, and communication with clients and field team specialists. She quickly gained the trust of her direct reports, clients, and colleagues through her perceptive & empathetic approach and her consistent follow through & regular check-ins. Rissa provided invaluable leadership, thorough communication, and a drive to create organization through standardizing policies, procedures, and workflows that met state and company compliance standards. Rissa managed the Care Coordination Program with order and professionalism. She met clients, their families, and her direct reports where they were at, brought ease with her light hearted approach, and provided out-of-the-box solutions to even the most complicated situations. She approached the development of each client’s care plan with what was best for that particular client at the top of mind - each client was an individual. She frequently received compliments and appreciation (from her clients, their families, case managers, and our team) for the relief she brought to her clients and their loved ones, her availability even outside of scheduled working hours, and her ability to tailor her teaching style to each specialist according to how they learn best. During EverHome Healthcare’s transition from EMR software ClearCare to Alayacare, Rissa proved her adaptability and mastered the new platform. She provided valuable ongoing support and technical training to field and internal team members. To create more efficiency in field staff workflows, Rissa assisted in the development and creation of electronic form documentation and saved the Project Management team countless revisions by providing practical use insight. She also developed automated reports and tasks that ensured ideal client care, employee accountability, and compliance.
