  MRI is a life-saving piece of technology that only ⅓ of the world is getting benefited from with early diagnosis and treatment. A 2018 study which reviewed the accessibility of MR scanners revealed that the areas with the highest population densities had the least amount of MR scanners. With this being the case, the goal in the MR field has to be to make MRIs more accessible. In order to accomplish this goal, the field has to overcome two barriers: 1. Make and operation of MR scanners a.Costb.Sophesticated Enginneringc.Sophesticated citingd.High Power Requirmentse.Slowers compared to other imaging modalities 2. Expertise in the radiologic teama.Requires presence of an expert radiologist, radiologic nurse, medical physcist, and an expert MR technicianThe VS Table Top project focuses on improving the accessibility of MR physics so that expertise in the radiology field widens. We aim for the project to achieve this goal by inspiring and teaching high school students MR physics with 8 fun and interactive games. These games will start with the basics with image composition(resolution, Field-of-View, Matrix Size, Voxel Size, etc) and progress deeper with k-space, image weighting(TR, TE, FA, T1, T2), Bloch equations, RF nutation, transient vs. steady state signals, and projection imaging. At the end of this experience students should have:a.Explored another field in the medical industry that might lead to finding their passionb.Know the basics of MR physics c.Get new ideas for projects of their own to improve this field
