Living within a Hall of Residence of the University (Vine Court), I form part of the support team within the Hall and across the wider site which incorporates a number of Halls. *University of Liverpool Halls has won the Best University Halls Award in the 2021 National Student Housing Awards, based upon student feedback.*My aim is to:-Promote a sense of community and belonging within the Hall-Provide an overnight support presence to the students as well as a general welfare support and guidance including sign-posting to other support services. -Being the first responder on hand to deal with emergencies and serious incidents arising during my on-call duty nights, that I have two days a week. As such, I am the first point of contact for Students, Emergency Services, Campus Support and members of the local community.-Maintain regular contact with a group of 83 students, I am responsible for, and provide them for opportunities to meet one another, and ensuring their wellbeing. My aim is to:-Organise and facilitate a peer support group within my school-Attend and fully participate in a bespoke training and development programme which will support me in my role-Organise Writing Groups, where PhD will gather for a day to deeply focus on their work and their writing-Organise Coffee Mornings, where PGRs can meet and chat with each other-Be part of a collective University ambassador network to support my peers cross-schools.-Help first year PhD students to a smoother transition to postgraduate study. -Establish and facilitate a safe peer support group for my school-Proactively promote wellbeing during a student’s postgraduate study Show less

My aim is to guide students to complete their dissertation, which includes:-a combination of group and individual tutorials -specific appointments of 40 minutes for each student every week-a discussion of all aspects of the student's work, including content, methodology, structure, style and presentation-the approval on a particular research topic, research question and method -an individual progress report-Written Feedback at the end of each tutorial sessions on their work, with some advices on how to write their dissertation-a written feedback on the draft of the dissertation -an evaluation and marking of the final draftBesides the dissertation, I was a guest critic for Studio work, evaluating and commenting on Student's urban and architectural projects. My aim is to lead the seminar "Cities & Urbanism: Ideologies and Futures" in the Master Architecture & Urbanism at the Manchester School of Architecture, for a group of 15 students. The purpose of this module is to familiarise students with a broad range of theories relating to the production and inhabitation of urban space. My specific duties include:-Preparing sufficiently to carry out the stated aims and objectives of the seminar: reading texts about contemporary theories in urbanism, and preparing discussion around the themes.-Leading seminars at specific times by facilitating student learning through discussion and debate-Assisting in the keeping of records of student attendance. -Marking Students' presentations and helping them improve their work-Marking and commenting on student's essays-Attending the Research and Methodology lectures, and giving one lecture in this module Show less
