      My mandate as an elected member of the 13th TDSA Board of Directors is to represent the student body in any capacity I am assigned. My main focus at this time is ensuring that the TDSA properly advocates on behalf of Disabled Individuals in addition to assessing TDSA executive salaries.-----Last year, I Chaired the Organizational Review & Development Committee (policy and bylaw advisory), I sat on the HR Committee, and I represented the TDSA on the Trent University Senate's Undergraduate Academic Policy Committee (UAPC), the Colleges and Student Services Committee, and sometimes the Food Advisory Committee.While being a Director on the HR Committee, I was involved in appointing 4 Board Directors and hiring the Policy Analyst, the Events Coordinator and the Executive Assistant. I also played a key role in establishing the accountability structure necessary for the bylaw change from an elected to hired Chair of the Board of Directors, which ultimately led to Policy 20 of the corporation, and I sat on the Elections Committee for the Fall 2021 election.

      My primary mandate as the TDSA Policy Analyst was to co-author the Sexual Health and Medical Accommodations/OHIP+ section of the 2021 Student Health and Wellness Policy Paper for the Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance (OUSA). In this role, along with the TDSA VP of University Affairs, we analyzed concerns and developed policy proposals to address key topics such as sexual education, sexual health resources and supports, medical accommodations in schools, OHIP+ coverage of dental and vision, etc.I also attended the OUSA General Assembly as a TDSA Delegate where Delegates from member schools gathered to critique and update the proposed policy papers.Additionally, I assisted the Vice President of University Affairs in updating TDSA Policies and By-laws to be consistent and to suit the needs of the organization.
