Researched a highly optimized ML speech synthesis network to be embedded into applications and resource constrained devices. Built a compiler system to remove ML framework dependencies and optimize inference size and speed. Our system is 35MB total and runs with a real time factor of 0.3 on a single threaded CPU.Investigated TorchScript, Apache TVM, Aten, Eigen, NNPack, QNNPack and other low level ML support systems as well as contributed to the Apache TVM project while trying to compile our model for inference. Ultimately built a proprietary neural network framework suited for our specific application in C++.
