As a result the ‘most economically advantageous tender’ (MEAT) has become the standard and many more contracts are awarded based on MEAT. As an integral construction company it is Heijmans ambition to be the leading in the field of sustainability, quality and profitability. The objective of the study was to provide insights into the way Heijmans fulfills sustainability criteria in MEAT tenders, and how it affected competiveness.
