Ridhima is one of the most hardworking person I have known. Her time management skills are commendable! As her senior during our graduation I was always astounded by her level of commitment and dedication towards her work. She has been a skilful tutor, a focused student and a humble human being. She is nothing but an asset to any project she’s a part of. Her hard work says it all.

Working as a crew member for nine months, I helped out both at the front and back of the house.I was responsible for the cash register, the dress station, the front of the house, and helping with the closing cleanup. Working at Five Guys has helped me become better at managing my time and has significantly improved my team working abilities. I was involved in researching new products/technologies to support Solar Fiji by promoting their services and products and educating businesses and communities on the benefits of renewable energy. I accepted the placement with Think Pacific looking forward to the opportunity to help tackle international development issues in Fiji. From learning about global health, education and the environment, I hoped to achieve actual outcomes and make a genuine difference. It is an NGO that works with the Fijian Government to support Fiji's development through in-person and remote sustainable programmes/internships. My placement was entirely remote and included desktop research. The action project I chose to take up was for a Solar Energy company called Solar Fiji based in Fiji, which addresses SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy and aims to make clean energy accessible for the people of Fiji. I had a fantastic opportunity to work with Belfast Food Network for my first placement. My role mainly included desktop research, wherein I had to collect information about feasible models for setting up a patchwork farm in Belfast. The project addresses two SDGs, namely SDG 2 and SDG 11. Creating patchwork farms helps share experiences within communities nurturing collaboration, viability, and reach. It has the potential of creating awareness of local food production and distribution. BFN, through this project, will try to take Belfast closer to its aim of being a sustainable food city. I accepted this placement in the hope of learning how collaboration is a crucial factor in promoting sustainability. Show less
