I was Lead Mechanical CAD Designer with responsibility for piping and structural layout and detailing, system maintenance, database development, and training. Design responsibilities include layout, design, and detailing of meter/prover/quality systems using customer specifications, current standards, current codes, and engineer’s input. My design skills include piping, structural, and instrumentation layout with consideration for support, daily operational access, and maintenance of the equipment. I use my experience to reduce the size and costs of skids while keeping them fully functional. I have designed hundreds of systems for fabrication and have assisted the marketing department for quick layouts of hundreds more. I work quickly and am accustomed to meeting demanding schedules. Maintenance and database responsibilities include: assisting the IT department with installation and setup of the latest versions of AutoCAD, Mech-Q, Piping DataPro, and Adobe. I modify FMC’s menus and programs to meet the changes in AutoCAD. I maintain the mechanical and P&ID block libraries. I also was trained and learned Inventor software and aided in the installation process. Training responsibilities include: training new designers and engineers on the customized software for AutoCAD, the company design standards, and documentation requirements. In the past I also held the position of CAD System Supervisor with responsibility for operator supervision/appraisal, training, design/drafting coordination, system maintenance, database development, and design in all disciplines during peak workloads. I also supervised Document Control and the Manuals storage department. Show less
