      During the months between February and June 2018 I helped improve the development workflow and the code quality at Accerion, a company specialised in positioning technology for automated verhicles and mobile robots. During this project I researched Continuous Integration in context of embedded software development. Together with Accerion the requirements were established and a design was made. Based on criteria a framework was chosen and implemented. A new development process was setup, supported by the Continuous Integration framework. Various quality enforcing measures were put in place in order to help Accerion improve their overall quality. Show less

      During my third year internship, I worked as an internee at Act-In. B.V. Act-In is a company specialised in software for production facilities. During this time I worked on an application that made the work of the Act-In employees easier. After a design phase in which a functional and technical design specification were made an application was implemented. This application generated XML configuration files. These configuration files defined structures that could be read by other Act-In tools. These files are quite large and were written by hand beforehand. This was time-consuming and prone to errors. This application enables the automatic generation of these configuration. Each entry in a configuration defines a route for their software to its customers endpoints. It would, for instance, define that a certain robot equipped with a CRC, could be found at IP address X. Show less
