Oversee two server farms in colocation space. Our Group is comprised of two teams of Systems Engineers at Match. These two server farms are located in two geographically diverse colo locations. We designed the space, HVAC and power requirements and had colo facilities build to suit. Familiarity with nearly every type of server platform. We plan our hardware needs and that guides the business in which hardware platforms to purchase. Along with this planning and purchasing comes testing. Testing new server platforms and their associated SSD/storage arrays. We also test every driver/firmware pack our manufacturers release for stability and uptime issues. We oversee the install of standalone blade environments, Cisco networking equipment, Hitachi storage arrays, HP EVA storage environments. We install, maintain and support over 1300 physical servers. Our group provides virtualized XenServers for other groups to do beta work and testing as well. Show less
