I have known Rick for several years. He is a very committed and involved member of our community. My first introduction to Rick was with the Rogers MN Lions. What struck me most at the time was his innate dedication to helping others, and always with a smile and kind word. Through the I94 West Chamber of Commerce I had the opportunity to talk with Rick more and more as he attended ground breaking ceremonies, Community and Business Excellence Awards, etc. His involvement in our City extended into the city government aspect as well being on the City Council. His concern and care for his community has had him involved in various aspects that has led him to the Mayoral role and now for a second term. As with politics you can never please everyone, though Rick does his best to promote his availability, to listen and hear what community residents and businesses have to say and to let them know they are being heard. Rick is good at leading by example and can relate easily to those around him. He is trustworthy, dependable, professional and polite. He just gets "it". Big picture minded and ready to discuss all possibilities that would result in win-win opportunities for both residents and businesses. I am proud to know Rick, his dedication to help others and proud of what he represents. I highly recommend Rick Ihli for any role he takes on.
