This included coordinating 4 concurrent conferences with speakers from international universities and business institutions, managing speaker and presenter schedules to ensure conferences ran on time, and providing technical support for speakers and presenters under tight timelines in highly stressful situations. I also managed attendee registration and addressed on-going issues and challenges during the conferences to provide a smooth and consistent customer conference experience.

The mission of the York University Robotics Society is to empower students to learn more about robotics. As Lead Designer and Fabricator for my team, I designed and built robotics to participate in international and national robotics competitions and provided mentoring and advice to inexperienced members and teams on engineering design, timeline and project management, and fabrication tools and techniques. The yearly goal for the Society was to attend Mars Society’s annual University Rover Competition, which had approximately 15 competing teams from universities around the world. YURS placed in the top three for two of the three years of my involvement.
