    • Resident Assistant
      • Jul 2014 - May 2017

During my freshman year I had a great relationship with my Resident Assistant. He cared about all his residents and didn't treat his position like a job. He generally wanted to know all of us individually. Seeing how he treated all his residents made me want to become an Resident Assistant to replicate that relationship he had with his residents, with residents of my own. I am proud to say that I am now an Resident Assistant for 19 freshman students at UMass. As a Resident Assistant, it is my duty to make sure I provide my residents with a safe and inclusive community. I also try to expose residents to the different on-campus events, services, and resources the university has to offer. By collaborating with a team of 12 Resident Assistants and 4 Peer Mentors, the programs we create can expose residents to new ideas and passions. These programs can bring anywhere from 20-30 residents.

    • Wardrobe Supervisor
      • Feb 2015 - May 2015

During my freshman year at UMass, I sought to get involved with the Theater Department. As a result, I signed up to become a Dresser for the Department's Season Opener of "The Liar" by David Ives. The experience of working with a team of 4 other dressers under the guise of the Theater Department allowed me to hone in on my organizational skills and to also learn more about the Department itself as well as the faculty actively involved. During the Spring Semester of my sophomore year, I was approached to become the Wardrobe Supervisor for the production of "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof," as my dedication to the department was prevalent and my organizational skills were appreciated. Working as the Wardrobe Supervisor allowed me to manage a crew of 5 dressers, to ensure the vision that the Costume Designer had set for the show came through. I also performed quick alterations of costumes as needed.

Coming from a High School that had an abundance of performing arts opportunities, I wanted to start working in an environment that included the performing arts aspect. Working as an usher at the Fine Arts Center has managed to keep me in that world. As an usher it is my duty to guide patrons to where they need to go, or where to find areas of interest around Amherst, and to have a positive attitude. Not only am I exposed to a diverse group of people, but I am also exposed to a variety of shows that have broaden my horizons, both intellectually and artistically.

As the Head of Fundraising of the Isenberg Marketing Club, it is the duty between me and my co-chair to lead a group of 15 students to brainstorm ideas, such as merchandise and events, to raise money for our club. With our efforts throughout the year, our goal is to raise money for our annual Marketing Club Networking Night (MCNN), a networking event produced exclusively by the Isenberg Marketing Club. In order to do so, we merchandise and sell products such as long sleeve shirts, sweat shirts, tank tops, and other Isenberg products. We also collaborate with local restaurants to receive a portion of their sales during a fundraising night.

After demonstrating my commitment to the Isenberg Marketing Club since the Fall of 2013, I was promoted to the Co-Chair of the Community Service Committee in the Fall of 2014. • Public Relations Member
      • Sep 2013 - May 2014

Wanting to get involved right away with an Isenberg School of Management Organization, I sought to join the Isenberg Marketing Club. The Isenberg Marketing Club aims to have students not only to learn about the Advertising/PR industry, but to also be directly involved with campus activities. The Isenberg Marketeers, a sub-committee of the organization which I am in, aims to use Guerilla Marketing to promote events at the Mullins Center. The Public Relations Committee aims to create video content that is readily available to students to not only learn about their professors in the Meet the Professors series, but to learn more about furthering their career with the Chase Career Video Project, which you can see below. In addition, I also write blog posts about both Isenberg Marketing Club and Isenberg events. Throughout the Spring 2014 semester, myself and a group of other students developed video content ideas for the Isenberg School of Management freshman video series, titled "Transitions". These series of videos will help Isenberg freshman learn the basics of resume writing, cover letter basics, and interview basics.

I've always loved reading about fashion on sites such as WWD, V Magazine, and Style.com. When I noticed that there was a lack of fashion reporting in our school newspaper, The Massachusetts Daily Collegian, I contacted the editors to see if I could write articles pertaining to fashion. Within a few days, I wrote my first 2 articles about New York Fashion Week and Oscars Fashion, which both got published on the front page of the arts section! By continuing to write for the Daily Collegian, I not only hope to educate readers about what fashion is, but also to learn more about fashion myself.

    • Collection Intern
      • Sep 2015 - Sep 2015

I had the wonderful opportunity to assist with both the KCD and Marc Jacobs teams with the preparation for the Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2016 fashion show. Working alongside industry professionals such as Katie Grand, Anita Bitton, and Marc Jacobs himself was a great opportunity. Some of my duties included assisting with making the looks boards for the show (profile, portrait of model, and outfit), organized show looks, assisted with the needs of the casting team (Anita Biton and Carin Backoff for The Establishment), assisted the Marc Jacobs team with model fittings, and also ran personal errands for both the KCD and the Marc Jacobs team.

During the summer of 2015, I had the amazing opportunity to be an intern for Lori Goldstein. Lori Goldstein has been in the fashion industry for over 30 years, and it was great learning from someone who is still working non stop in such a fast paced industry. Not only did I learn how the fashion industry works, but I also learned more about LOGO, clothing that Lori Goldstein designs and sells exclusively on QVC. During my time at Lori Goldstein LTD, I assisted with a variety of tasks. I packed and unpacked clothing and accessories for shoots and QVC shows, ran errands for the office, picked up and steamed clothing samples, and anything else the office needed me to do. I also assisted the Social Media Director in producing online visual content for the company Instagram(@lorigoldstein) and Facebook. Working as a team with the other intern, we came up with concepts for photos that were to be posted weekly, promoting the item that was to be sold that week. We assisted with styling, location scouting, and prepared the set for photo shoots.

My job is to make sure that the buzz around the client we are working with is sustained throughout the campaign. The UMass AdLab provides me with hands-on experience on what working in an advertising agency is like, and I am learning new things everyday! This semester, we are working with Credit Karma in a nationwide competition to produce and execute a campaign at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. We were given a budget of $1,500 in order to implement a campaign in order to increase membership to Credit Karma on college campuses. I worked alongside other students in the development of tweets for Twitter account for the campaign, @CreditKarmaUM.

Multi-Arts is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering, developing, and unleashing the artistic talent and inspiration within all children. It has programs in theater, music, art, dance, and writing, to teach children to use different mediums to express themselves through art. As the Assistant Director, it was my duty to help in whatever needs the Director of the program may have. Ranging from sending emails to parents, to soliciting local businesses for their donations. I was in charge of inputing the organization's finances into the data system Quickbooks, which keeps track of all the money spent and received. I was also in charge of organizing the fashion show portion of the annual silent auction the organization holds in late July. My responsibilities included contacting local clothing boutiques for their contribution, contacting local salons for their services, and also organizing the logistics of the day's event.
