I had the pleasure of working with Richard while he was at the At-Ease stores in Orange County, CA. I also had the opportunity to row with him in the boats when I attended Orange Coast College. Richard is a dedicated and focused individual who never gives up. He is open to learning, trying new things, and can teach others his expertise. He is a contact that I will always stay in touch with. I highly recommend him to do your job.

I have known and coached Richard for two years. In that time Richard has proven to be a very hard worker and a great team player. Rowing is an incredibly demanding sport requiring hours of grueling practice often before the sun even comes up. Success demands mental and physical toughness, discipline, determination, and sacrifices that aren't required of a normal student. The ability to set achievable goals and to balance/structure the day are also very important tenets of that success which makes rowers uniquely qualified as the enter the working world. Richard has been very successful at UC San Diego, both in the classroom and in the boat. He is a conference champion and a very solid student. I know Richard will be successful at whatever career or job he chooses.
